Minehead Market Site

Euroclad's Elite Systems have been used on the £6.4 million redevelopment of Minehead's historic old market site. Situated close to Minehead sea front, the redevelopment included the building of 12 business units which had to be sympathetic with the local area and able to withstand the harsh marine environment. Elite System 3 was used on the roofs and Elite System 60 was used on the walls of all 12 business units to provide an attractive, yet robust external building envelope. Elite System 60 features a striking half round profile for horizontal cladding. The system is robust with excellent thermal and acoustic performance. Elite System 3 is a secret fix roofing system suitable for low pitch applications where speed of installation and performance is paramount. The system offers design flexibility and delivers clean uncluttered rooflines, excellent acoustic performance and is especially suitable for long span applications, as it can be manufactured on-site.

Mini Showroom

MINI is a brand known for its sense of fun and striking good looks. The new Sytner MINI garage in Leicester is no exception. Featuring Euroclad's striking Half Round profile, the showroom certainly stands out from the crowd. The Half Round profile has been horizontally laid on the walls in sleek metallic black Corus Colorcoat Prisma®, to create a modern, stylish and architecturally striking finish. When asked about the project, Rory Culhane from WT Roofing, who were the cladding contractor on the project, stated 'We had a very specific look we wanted to achieve on this project and Euroclad's half round profile allowed us to achieve the high quality finish we required along with excellent performance'. Euroclad's architectural 50/1000 Half Round Profile can be produced in  both Corus Colorcoat HSP200 Ultra® and Corus Colourcoat Prisma® ensuring a wide availability of colours and the added benefit of the Corus Confidex product guarantee of up to 40 years. The half round profile is manufactured by Euroclad in the UK. It features a cover width of 1 metre, a deliberate decision by Euroclad to ensure higher compatibility with industry standards and complementary products. It can be specified as part of an Elite System giving defined performance and a maximum 25 year guarantee.

Wales National Velodrome

Revisions to the specification of the Wales National Velodrome & Cycling Centre in Spytty Park, Newport, were the result of funding constraints. Happily the breadth of Euroclad's product range could cater for the design changes. Designed by Milsom Architects, the Velodrome has the potential to stage international cycling competitions and a variety of top class sports events in the central arena. The principal architect on the project, Graham Milsom, comments: "The Velodrome, which was only the second such specialist facility to be built in Britain, has a 250m long banked timber track designed by Australian specialist, Ron Webb, who was also responsible for the tracks in Manchester and Sydney where many world records have been broken."Within the main hall there is a central arena measuring 40m by 80m which will provide a venue for other sports such as badminton, basketball and five-a-side football.  There are also top class sports science and weight training suites, together with cardio-vascular and wet relaxation areas."
