Metal Rainscreen

Euroclad Metal Rainscreen SystemCassette Panels

A standard  pressed cassette panel would typically range in size up to 3600mm x 1500mm (finished face dimension) with a 25x25mm fixing return on all edges. It is essential that material gauge be carefully considered, as the larger the flat face dimension, that thicker the gauge should be. Some element of deflection should always be expected in the face. While this can be reduced by increasing the gauge and introducing bonded strengthening ribs in the back of the cassette, some deflection will probably still be evident, especially in low incident light. In some instances however the evident surface deflection can be considered desirable, therefore it is essential that a good understanding of the client's expectations is communicated as part of the specification.

Euroclad Flat SheetFlat sheet

The key advantage of utilising a flat sheet arrangement is the material cost saving, as the finished face dimension is the same as the overall material requirement - however any flat sheet solution of this nature will rely on either through fixings, or structural bonding.

In many instances a through fixed solution can be made into a feature, with careful selection of fixings, paying particular attention to the fixing head. Structural bonding has the advantage of not having a visible fixing, however it is important to ensure correct guarantees are in place to cover the risk of de-bonding.

Euroclad Metal Plank ProfilePlank profile

Generally, plank profiles are used mainly for fascia and soffit applications, however it is possible to use them for larger cladding areas. Euroclad offer three general styles of plank profile, two of which are secret fix - and the range offers a choice between an open joint arrangement, closed joint or visible fixed side-lap.

Curved Details

Metal panel systems, curved to suit the desired detail, can also be used for Column Casings and other similar complex shapes. As with other metal panel systems, the correct specification of material, gauge, colour and finish is essential, and we would always recommend contacting our Technical or Sales departments for advice and guidance.
