Euroclad Façades specialises in the manufacture of metal
rainscreen façade systems. Virtually any metal envelope geometry
can be realised through the experience and guidance of its
specialist workforce combined with the highest levels of design and
manufacturing technology. This is complemented by the ability to
demonstrate compliance with the relevant Standards and
Regulations. Talented, experienced engineers and estimators
provide free advice to help develop and cost designs from even the
most obscure general arrangement drawings. The company is known for
undertaking demanding specifications and products carry up to 30
year warranties.
Euroclad LINEAR Façades offer a wide range of metals and Metal
Composite Materials (MCM). The majority of rainscreen facades
are supplied in Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) which can be
supplied in a wide range of solid colours, metallic finishes and
pearlescent, stone, timber and simulated metal effects. MCMs
include stainless steel, titanium, copper and zinc and unlike ACMs
they are supplied as a natural metal for organic, architectural
applications. Facade systems are available produced in materials as
listed below.
ACM -Technical Info
Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) consists of two thin skins of
aluminium continuously bonded under tension to either side of a
thermoplastic or mineral core. The core material allows for uniform
expansion and contraction of both metal skins. ACM is a lightweight
material that benefits from excellent flatness and rigidity. Our
range of ACM materials are sourced from the leading manufacturers
in the World. For excellent colour uniformity, superior flatness
and comprehensive technical support we recommend the use of ALPOLIC
material from Mitsubishi Chemical. A huge range of colours and
finishes are available including popular silver shades and special
finishes like timber and stone.
MCM - Technical Info
Metal Composite Materials (MCM) use natural metals that are
bonded in the same way as ACM with two thin skins of material
either side of a thermoplastic or mineral core. If a specific metal
finish is specified but the benefits of a composite material are
required then MCM is recommended. We can provide a range of natural
metal composite materials including zinc and copper.
Titanium Composite Material (TCM) has
unparalleled corrosion resistance and fits to applications in a
highly corrosive environment.
Steel Composite Material (SCM) is
highly rust-resistant and is suitable for roofs and external
claddings.
Zinc Composite Material (ZCM) has a
distinctive grey appearance that evolves through natural
weathering.
Similarly Copper Composite Material
(CCM) uses real copper with its distinctive hue and shine
which weathers over time to the stunning green patina seen in many
iconic structures, one of the most obvious examples being the
Statue of Liberty.
Anodised Aluminum - Technical Info
Aluminium's is a metal that responds to anodising which creates
even greater flexibility in its colour and hue and adds a robust
and hard wearing finish. Anodising is the conversion of a metal
creating a protective film of Aluminium oxide.
The natural oxide film is induced by passing an electric current
through dilute Sulphuric Acid with the Aluminium part as the anode.
The entire process usually involves a chemical pre-clean, and
immersion in a chemical to give the required finish. Anodising also
allows colouring of the oxidised metal. We can supply anodised
panels that benefit from the hard wearing coating that the process
delivers. These products tend to be used on exclusive developments,
for specific aspects of a building or areas that need to be
particularly durable. Panels are preformed before being anodised
and there are limitations to the maximum size due to the complex
process. The aluminium that is suitable for this treatment is of a
specific composition. We use leading UK anodising companies Haywood
and LHT.
Polyester Powder Coating - Technical Info
Polyester powder coated (PPC) aluminium has been popular for
some time and it is still in widespread use in the construction and
automotive industries. The advantages of powder coating are that
standard stock aluminium can be quickly coated with standard or
bespoke colours to match or contrast a building's design. If single
skin aluminium is specified we can powder coat products using our
sister company Euro Quality Coatings, an Interpon D powder coater
that is situated on the same 200 acre site as Euroclad Facades. One
of the UK's leading powder coating companies, EQC use the highest
quality application equipment, powders and pre-treatments,
providing a professional service for volume and batch quantities.
Attention to detail at every stage of the metal finishing process
is maintained through a series of comprehensive in-process
controls, end of line inspection and end of line testing.
