building's exterior was designed with this in mind. Our rainscreen

Manchester Civil Justice Centre
8,000m2 of LINEAR rainscreen panels to the
prominent new Civil Justice Centre in Manchester. Installed by
Josef Gartner & Co UK Ltd, the infill panels complete the
powerful exterior of the building. Constructed of dark grey
metallic ALPOLIC/fr aluminium composite material, the Euroclad
LINEAR panels are part of a detailed and complex façade, which also
features other types of curtain walling. After a difficult
selection process, Euroclad was chosen for the colour consistency
of the material and the proven flatness of the panels themselves.
At a cost of £160m, the new court complex houses 47 courtrooms,
four tribunal courts, 75 consultation rooms, as well as office and
administration space. Designed by Denton Corker Marshall, the
building is a striking addition to the Manchester cityscape. Robert
Simcock of Josef Gartner comments: "The ALPOLIC/fr panel system has
a unique finish and was chosen for this project as it offers a
consistent colour to the building façade over a large visible
surface area. This consistency of colour cannot be achieved with
finishes such as anodised aluminium".

Three Ways School, Bath
There
are many different design factors to take into consideration when
planning for any new build or refurbishment project. Each project
relies on the building designer to ensure a creative and yet
workable design is put into practice. Three Ways School in Bath is
an exceptional example of a project which has incorporated modern
building materials into a school to produce a visually stunning and
exciting learning centre. The school is for children with special
needs and therefore good interior and exterior design are
fundamental to the effectiveness of the school. At the heart of the
school is a sensory studio. This is an egg shaped multi-sensory
room that has its exterior clad in copper composite panels,
manufactured by Euroclad Façades. To create the egg each panel is
narrow at the end and wider at the centre and is precisely curved.
The panels were fixed using copper rivets to give the exterior a
seamless finish.

Auto Technium, Lannelli
The
multi-million pound research and development centre has been
finished with an aluminium composite material, helping complete
this state-of-the-art development. Located near the coast, the
2,200m2 building is subject to harsh climatic conditions, making
aluminium, rather than conventional steel, the perfect choice. The
LINEAR 3 rainscreen and bull nose soffits were manufactured in
silver ALPOLIC/fr, providing a contemporary and striking façade.
LINEAR 3 system was selectedby the local installer, based on its
design flexibility and speed of build. Panels are positively fixed
to support rails, saving valuable time on-site. The LINEAR 3 system
helped the installer deliver a solution that met with the
architect's vision.

University of Dundee
Procladd
Scotland Ltd are celebrating after picking up the award in the
vertical cladding category at
this year's NFRC 'excellence in roofing awards'. The winning
project, University of Dundee Institute of Sport and Exercise,
features a uniquely designed elliptical extension, 'the drum',
which unusually houses rectangular studios. Euroclad provided its
LINEAR rainscreen cladding system, made up of a series of cassette
panels that are fixed to the vertical rail, making the installation
straightforward. LINEAR systems utilise composite materials,
including copper and aluminium, which offer superior flatness and
excellent rigidity.
Speaking about the awards, Keith Burrell, Managing Director of
Procladd Scotland Ltd comments; "The excellence in roofing awards
is a key event and we're proud to receive this award. The
University of Dundee Institute of Sport and Exercise project was
both technically and geometrically challenging. Euroclad's products
were specified because they met our requirements in terms of panel
size and one piece panelling as well as achieving a high quality
striking finish".
