trapezoidal profile roof sheets

Profiled roof systems are best suited for roof pitches greater than 5 degrees. The profile is made up of a series of corrugations, each in the shape of a trapezium, (refered to as Trapezoidal Profile) which lap together side to side and end to end, making it very easy to cover varying areas of roof quickly. The profile sheets are typically coated steel, but can also be supplied in aluminium, and have mastic seals located in the end and side laps. Fixings are located normally through the 'pan' of the profile, rather than through the corrugation.

Sheets can be used as a single sheet (single skin) installation or as an external skin to a built up roof system.

Trapezoidal roof systems are very cost effective, lightweight and suited to a wide variety of applications, including new build and refurbishment, and there is a broad selection of colour, finish and profile shape. For industrial applications trapezoidal roof systems proves are particularly ideal, but are also suited to commercial or retail applications where the roof may be concealed behind a parapet.

SINGLE SKIN APPLICATION

Single skin use of metal roof sheets are suitable for various applications small or large, due to the exposure to both gravitational and sectional wind loads on one sheets - we strongly suggest you consult our technical department for suitability of chosen profile for your project use.

BUILT UP SYSTEMS

Trapezoidal built up roof systems offer Class O surface spread of flame, have an excellent acoustic performance (typically over 40dB SRi) and are normally assessed as 'Non Fragile' making them suitable for maintenance access (refer to our technical department for further advice).

A additional profile swage is available on a range of our roof profiles, availability is indicated by the addition of an 'S' suffix to the standard profile description. The profile swage is added purely for aesthetic reasons.

Trapezoidal profiles are available with crimped curves. For curved eaves and ridge details, all the trapezoidal profiles can be curved and 'barrel vault' self curving roofs may be accommodated subject to the profile dependant on the profile type and curve radius. All Euroclad roof profiles are handed with specific side lap details. Therefore, it is imperative that these are identified and installed correctly. Rooflights are available to match, or complement, all profiles in either translucent sheet, or barrel vault type systems.

CE Mark

We have been accredited with CE Marking to BS EN 14782 for our roofing profiles manufactured from Colorcoat® pre-finished steel, conforming to the most respected European product standard. For more information visit http://euroclad.net/cemark/

Swages

An additional profile swage is available on a range of our roof profiles, availability is indicated by the addition of an 'S' suffix to the standard profile description. The profile swage is added purely for aesthetic reasons.

ANTI CONDENSATION FLEECE

It is a cost effective long term solution to preventing and avoiding dripping roof condensation on single skin cladding applications. All single skin steel or aluminium roofs including insulated systems with a  ventilated airspace have the capacity to condense and drip on some materials condensation produces the ideal conditions for mould growth, to prevent this Grafo-therm incorporates a highly efficient Fungicide. Available on our Trapezoidal and Sinusoidal roof.

CRIMPED CURVE

Trapezoidal profiles are available with crimped curves. For curved eaves and ridge details, all the trapezoidal profiles can be curved and 'barrel vault' self curving roofs may be accommodated subject to the profile dependant on the profile type and curve radius. All Euroclad roof profiles are handed with specific side lap details. Therefore, it is imperative that these are identified and installed correctly. Rooflights are available to match, or compliment, all profiles in either translucent sheet, or barrel vault type systems.

SMOOTH CURVE

The sinusoidal profile can be smooth curved using the latest curving technology. Curved radii of 2 metres can be achieved using steel material.

COLORCOAT® LG

A leathergrain plastisol product suitable for roof and wall cladding applications where good performance is required at a competitive price. Available with a performance guarantee up to 25 years.  In line with advice from Pre-finished material suppliers and in order to minimise the risk of difference in appearance, ALL material requirements should be sourced from the same manufacturing batch. Therefore, all material requirements should ideally be ordered at the same time.

PVDF COATED ALUMINIUM

Various colour coatings are available for the aluminium material our preferred choice is PVDF. PVDF, (polyvinylidene Fluoride) coatings were developed over 30 years ago, the surface finish is smooth with a decorative finish life expectancy of 25 years. This comprises a minimum of 70% PVF2 resin and a maximum of 30% acrylic. It is very durable, giving excellent flexibility and chemical resistance combined with the highest possible performance regarding gloss retention, chalking and colour change. You will be required to sign off the colour ordered as acceptable when ordering Painted Aluminium colours from Euroclad, we will supply a swatch sample before the coating of the material takes place. Material guarantee can be supplied by the material manufacturer; you must register your project once installed with the material manufacturer. Please note that there is a minimum order quantity of 300m² for all painted aluminium material. Colours - Colours are available from BS RAL colours range

ORGANIC PATINA ALUMINIUM

Planning constraints sometimes require a "dull" finish to the mill finish aluminium because of the reflectivity of new stucco embossed aluminium. In these instances an Organic Patina finish utilising a low gloss dull lacquer is available - tests have shown the finish can reduce the reflectivity by up to 35%. There is a greater cost to the finish, which imitates the look of weathered Plain Mill stucco embossed aluminium. Please note that perimeter flashings must be produced in the same material. Please note that there is a minimum order quantity of 300m² for all painted aluminium material.

factory manufacture

An investment in excess of £2million has been made in an automatic rollforming machine referred to as the 'Revolver' line, which loads coils of up to 10 tonnes and feeds sheet material through 24 banks of forming rollers to produce 60 metres of finished product per minute. Running continuously at full capacity the machine is able to produce over 80,000 square metres of wall profiles per day. The Revolver line toggles between the four most popular profiles by switching the sets of rolls which are arranged like points on a clock face on each bank. The selected pattern clicks into place in just three minutes - a process that can take up to two hours on a conventional machine. Finished product is stacked by batch, automatically packaged using recyclable packaging materials and labelled with a unique consignment number, its sequence as part of a larger order, the customer and destination.

As part of its commitment to quality, service and the environment, Euroclad operates a Quality Management System approved to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and an Environmental Management System approved to BS EN ISO 4001:2004.
