Vapour Control

Unlike metal liner profiles which can be sealed on their sidelap and endlap to form an effective vapour control layer, structural deck profiles are difficult to seal in this manner - and therefore require a separate vapour control membrane to be installed.

For standard humidity class buildings Euroclad normally recommends a 500Nms/g vapour resistivity vapour control, however for high humidity (humidity class 4 or 5) it may be necessary to use a 40000Nms/g vapour resistivity product. If there is any doubt as to which specification you should use, a condensation risk analysis should be conducted to access the risk of moisture accumulation within the system - please contact our Technical Department with your project information for our specific recommendations.
