Queen Elizabeth School - Educational
The suitability of Euroclad's
standing seam roofsystems for use on Educational buildings has once
again received heavy endorsement, with the specification of
Euroseam on the new Queen Elizabeth High School in Camarthen. The
new school and leisure centre complex features 5000m2 of Euroclad's
standing seam profile, installed over non-combustible insulation as
part of an established, high performance roofing system. The
buildings not only look great, with sweeping convex curved roofs
and rollformed tapers, they also perform to the highest of
standards, offering outstanding acoustic performance, truly
non-combustible materials and, in the case of the new swimming
pool, vapour control.

Swansea SA1 Development - Domestic
Standing seam from Euroclad demonstrates its
flexibility in design, application and building use.
Traditionally metal standing seam roofing has been the preserve of
industrial or commercial buildings that require high performance
and an attractive finish. The residential development in
Swansea's marina known as Swansea Point has proved that a standing
seam roof system can be the perfect solution for any building
type. 20,000m2 of Euroseam were installed as a
series of individual roofs in plain mill stucco embossed
aluminium. The proximity of the sea makes aluminium standing
seam an ideal solution: aluminium forms its own protective layer
which combats the corrosive effects of maritime winds and sheets
are produced in continuous lengths with a 'clip and zip' fixing
which eliminates penetrations to the building envelope.

Gloucester Police HQ
Dynamic curves in a single span
roof are a vital part of a stunning building of the Gloucestershire
Constabulary County Police Headquarters. Taking the shape of an
ellipse, the Euroseam standing seam roof spans around 8,500m2 of
floor space.
Finished in Moorland Green, the roof is part of a building
designed to present a dynamic and inspiring appearance for 400
members of staff at the Quedgeley based headquarters. An area
planted as a 'green roof' contrasts with the smooth, precise lines
of self curved aluminium. Controlling the complete manufacturing
process, we rolled the sheets on site, including single lengths of
over 120 metres.

Pontypool College
Constructed from Euroseam standing seam roof
system, the roof follows a spectacular sweeping curve around glue
laminate beams down to the ground to create an extended barrel
vault with dramatic effect. Being non-combustible, Euroclad's
design solutions are insurer friendly, as well as offering wide
design freedom, and being environmentally friendly and recyclable.
Bespoke fabricated flashings, curved barges and downpipeswere all
specified to eliminate water ingress.
Coleg Gwent is the biggest Further Education College in Wales
accommodating 37,000 students spread over six campuses. As part of
a programme of improvements, over £1 million has been spent in the
construction of a new two-storey building at the Pontypool Campus
to accommodate a learning resource centre.

K2 Lesuire Centre
The design demanded several different standing
seam roofs,of both convex and concave waveform curves of varying
radii.K2 houses many facilities including an Olympic size
50mswimming pool, a 12m high climbing rock, squash and badminton
courts, indoor bowls rinks, and a large multipurpose sports hall.
The high specification building was constructed by main contractor
Gleeson with roofing contractor S D Samuels. For the sports hall, a
fully tested standingseam system was chosen in order to meet
specific acoustic requirements. While the roof of the swimming pool
employs the same plain mill aluminium as the sports hall, the
sheets feature a smooth pre-curved ridge.
