Dragon Lesuire Centre
The Dragon
Leisure Centre incorporates the first indoor tennis courts to be
built in Cornwall and boasts the widest range of activities in the
county. The original roof, which featured a duopitch roof
incorporating cranked curved eaves, a barrel vault ridge with a
cranked curved sheet, was stripped and re-clad using Euroclad's
Elite System 1.25 in Corus Colourcoat HPS200®. The
cladding was specified in a combination of colours including
moorland green and olive green. The combination of colours
with the specialist curved eaves and 2 metre high ridge detail
retained the original impression of a tennis net. Speaking about
the project, Alan Roberts, Senior Technician at Mitchell Architects
Ltd said 'Building materials have evolved significantly over the
years making it easier to find suitable products for almost any
design. The client had very specific ideas for this project and it
was important to use a material that met all the clients needs,
looked eye catching and offered excellent longevity.'

Bulmers Plant, Clonmel
Irish Minister for the Environment,
Heritage and Local Government, John Gormley TD, was recently
presented with details on the environmental benefits of one of the
world's first CarbonNeutral building envelopes, which has been
supplied by Euroclad at the new Bulmers plant in Clonmel,
Ireland. Euroclad systems were chosen for the roof and walls,
as well as the internal firewalls as they met both Bulmers' and
John M Allen Architects' requirements, supplying a non-combustible,
complete building envelope solution that provides cradle to grave
carbon neutrality. Euroclad's systems using Corus Colorcoat®
pre-finished steel are assessed and approved under the Confidex
Sustain® system, which enables building envelopes supplied by
Euroclad to offer carbon neutrality through socially responsible
carbon offsetting schemes.

Cardiff City Football Club
Cardiff City Stadium is the new home of Cardiff
City FC and Cardiff Blues rugby union team and was opened in July
this year in time for the start of the 2009/10 season. The
stadium is a striking landmark that was developed alongside a new
retail park in the Leckwith area of the Welsh capital.
18,000m2 of doubled sided profiled steel was
manufactured and supplied by Euroclad in Colorcoat HPS200
Ultra® for the vast roof structure. The
construction is one in a long line of stadia utilising Euroclad
products; the Emirates stadium and the O2 Arena being two recent
projects involving Euroclad. The building is a coming
together for system manufacturers Euroclad and Eurobond and unites
Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® in Goosewing Grey on the roof
and Colorcoat Prisma® in Silver Metalic on the
walls.

Next Distrubution, Avonmouth
The large roof of the Next distribution centre
in Avonmouth was supplied in Euroclad profiled roofing. The

landscape on the outskirts of Bristol. Using pre-finished
steel the profiled roof channels water efficiently, provides a
durable watertight roof, good acoustic performance and excellent
thermal performance. Euroclad profiled roof systems fully
comply with Building regulations and due to their 'built-up'
construction can be adapted to exceed regulatory requirements and
