Sustainability

Cradle to Cradle approach

Sustainablity

We are committed to a Cradle to Cradle approach to sustainability with careful consideration for the sourcing of materials and the manufacture of products through to the implications of their performance when installed and the end of life recycling and disposal.

By sourcing a roof and wall cladding system from us which is able to tick all of the boxes, it is possible to protect your pocket as well as the planet.  A Cradle to Cradle approach can deliver a sustainable metal roof and wall solution that doesn't cost the earth.

We want to do  our bit for the World's ecology but also wants to make a positive impact locally and has been awarded The Princes Trust award for the development of its manufacturing site which features a small lake at its heart which attracts and sustains a range of wildlife.

Euroclad management is committed to:

    • Ensure compliance with current legislation related to its products, processes and activities.
    • Promote Energy, Waste and Pollution Prevention minimisation programmes including recycling arrangements wherever practicable.
    • Periodically review the Environmental Policy, Impacts, and set Objectives and Targets to promote the continual improvement of our Environmental performance.
    • Raise the Environmental awareness of all Euroclad employees through training programmes and newsletters.
    • Conduct Environmental Internal Audits to ensure compliance with the Standard and implement improvements where necessary.
    • Management is committed to the provision of adequate resources and annual review of the Policy and the effectiveness of the Environmental Management System.
    • Company Environmental performance is communicated through the annual Environmental Report, which will be made available in addition to the Policy to any interested party.
  • What is environmentaly friendly?

Stating that a product or process is "environmentally friendly" is an insufficient statement; any such claim should be accompanied by qualified and quantified results.

  • But how do you measure the environmental impact of a product?

One method that is becoming more and more commonly used is to consider the Global Warming potential of a product - measured in kilograms equivalent of Carbon Dioxide, often referred to as the Carbon Footprint. Carbon Footprint analysis may also be referred to as Global Warming, and is assessed in accordance with the internationally agreed protocol of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the World Meteorological Organisation. Futher information on our products is available within this website in  the form of Environmental Performance Declerations.
